The Curies

Pierre and Marie Curie shared the Physics prize in 1907; Marie Curie won the Chemistry prize on her own in 1911; their daughter Irène Joliot–Curie shared the Chemistry prize in 1935 with her husband Frédéric Joliot–Curie.

The Curies' younger daughter, Ève, married the American diplomat Henry Richardson Labouisse, Jr, in 1954. He was the director of UNICEF when it won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965. Labouisse died in 1987; Ève Curie died in 2007, aged 102.
